Julia Moscardini was born in Argentina, in the southern region of Greater Buenos Aires. With a career primarily focused on jazz, she has released two solo albums, Stablemates (2019) and Mood Indigo (2022), both in a quintet format, accompanied by Ernesto Jodos (piano), Sebastián Loiácono (tenor sax), Jerónimo Carmona (double bass), and Carto Brandán (drums).In parallel, she also performs Argentine music, mainly as a duo with her father, guitarist and composer Carlos Moscardini, or occasionally appearing as a guest alongside prominent artists such as maestro Juan Falú.

Julia focused her musical training on jazz in Buenos Aires with teachers such as Barbie Martinez, Ernesto Jodos, Mariano Loiácono, Daniel Johansen, and Roxana Amed.
In New York, she studied with her main mentor, singer Sheila Jordan, as well as other great masters including Jay Clayton, Christine Correa, Fay Victor, Theo Bleckman, and Carla Cook, among others.

She has performed in numerous cities across Argentina and abroad in Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, and the United States. Between 2016 and 2024, she was a member of the "Big Orchestra," a traditional jazz ensemble directed by trumpeter Mariano Loiácono. She has shared the stage with distinguished international figures such as Russell Malone, Cyrus Chestnut, Antonio Hart, Anthony Wonsey, Lonnie Plaxico, and Steve Davis.

Between 2021 and 2024, she served as the Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival.

In 2025, she was awarded 2nd runner-up in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, directed by bassist Christian McBride.

She also works as an educator at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (Berklee Global Partner), while also conducting workshops and masterclasses.
