Julia Moscardini is an Argentine jazz vocalist born in Buenos Aires. With a career deeply rooted in jazz, she has released two solo albums, Stablemates (2019) and Mood Indigo (2022), featuring renowned musicians Ernesto Jodos (piano), Sebastián Loiácono (tenor sax), Jerónimo Carmona (double bass), and Carto Brandán (drums).
In addition to jazz, she explores Argentine music, primarily performing as a duo with her father, guitarist and composer Carlos Moscardini, and collaborating as a guest artist with figures such as Juan Falú, Florencia Bobadilla Oliva, and Federico Diaz.
Julia's musical education began in Buenos Aires under masters like Barbie Martinez, Ernesto Jodos, Mariano Loiácono and Daniel Johansen. She later expanded her training in New York, where she studied with her primary mentor, the legendary Sheila Jordan, as well as greats like Jay Clayton, Christine Correa, Fay Victor, Theo Bleckman, Carla Cook, among others.
Her international presence includes performances across Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, and the United States. Between 2016 and 2024, she was a member of the "Big Orchestra" -directed by trumpet player Mariano Loiácono-. She also shared the stage with jazz icons such as Russell Malone, Cyrus Chestnut, and Antonio Hart.
Beyond her performance career, she served as the Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival (2021–2024).
In 2025, she was named 2nd runner-up in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, directed by Christian McBride.
Julia is also a dedicated educator at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (Berklee Network) and leads various workshops and masterclasses.
